Milan New Trade Fair

Convention Centre

Location Milan, Italy

Client Milan Fair Foundation

In an effort to attract large-scale world-class conventions and exhibitions, the city of Milan embarked on an ambitious plan to build a trade show complex, including exhibition halls, auditoriums, conference rooms, restaurants and cafes, meeting halls, and office administration spaces. The New Fair Complex, delivered by Pizzarotti as part of a consortium including Astaldi and Vianini Lavori, was the first step towards the renovation of the Milan Fair. The entire project was self-financed and implemented on the general contractor model. Built on a brownfields site, the architectural design for the exhibition area was by Massimiliano Fuksas, internationally acclaimed expert in urban issues affecting large metropolitan areas.
